Harleston Running Club (HRC) take the protection of the data that we hold about you as a member seriously and will do everything possible to ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, maintained, cleansed and retained in accordance with current and future UK data protection legislation.

Please read HRC's Privacy Notice, that can be found on our website, to see how HRC will treat the personal information that you provide to us. HRC will take reasonable care to keep your information secure and to prevent any unauthorised access.

When you become a member of or renew your membership of Harleston Running Club, we provide England Athletics with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called myathletics).  England Athletics will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your MyAthletics portal (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings).  If you have any questions about the continuing privacy of your personal data when it is shared with England Athletics, please contact dataprotection@englandathletics.org   

Sharing the data of both affiliated and social athletes with England Athletics means that Harleston Running Club does not have to maintain a standalone membership system.

If you have joined Harleston Running Club as a social member you may chose not to allow us to transfer your data to England Athletics and the club will manually record your membership.   However, if you then decide to compete for the Club under UKA Rules (i.e. become an affiliated member) we will need to register you with England Athletics.

By submitting this completed form, I confirm that:

1. I have read and understood the Privacy Notice (see HRC website) and know how my personal data will be used and shared
2. I am willing to abide by the UKA & HCAF code of conduct for athletes. (See the UKA & HCAF Codes of Conduct Booklet on the HRC website)
3. I am willing to abide by UKA & HCAF adult and child safeguarding policies and procedures
4. I am willing to abide by the HRC Grievance and disciplinary policy and the HRC Anti-bullying policy
